What This Apparatus Does
This air pump is suitable for a number of classroom demonstrations involving air pressure and vacuum. It has a single barrel made from steel pipe, fitted on a wooden base. The aluminium plate is provided with a stop-cock air inlet screw and a connection for rubber pressure tubing, allowing it to be connected to a bell jar or similar apparatus for vacuum demonstrations. It is available in two sizes, 12.5cm and 15.0cm.
