What This Instrument Does
This galvanometer is designed for very low current measurement. It has levelling screws for balancing the coil, and a coil with a mirror suspended between a long suspension thread at the upper end and a spring at the lower end. The suspension and spring are made of a special alloy to give a high degree of sensitivity to movement, and the whole movement is housed in a bakelite case. It is available in two configurations, offering different resistance and sensitivity combinations, detailed below.

Typical Use
College and university physics laboratories use the ballistic galvanometer for measuring very small quantities of charge and current, such as in experiments on capacitor discharge, electromagnetic induction, and mutual inductance, reading the deflection reflected from the suspended mirror.
Manufactured In-House
This galvanometer is manufactured at our own India production facility.
