What This Apparatus Does
The Hare Apparatus is used for comparing the densities of two liquids by measuring the heights of the two columns of liquid produced when suction is applied to the short limb. It comprises a three-limbed tube mounted on a polished stand fitted with a 45cm meter scale, graduated with zero at the bottom and divided into centimetres and millimetres. The apparatus is supplied without a rubber tube and pinch cock, and a spare tube is available on demand.
