Lab Instruments Manufacturers manufactures the Wind Tunnel in-house at our own India facility, supplying it to engineering colleges and aerodynamics/fluid-mechanics labs, and as an OEM/private-label item to distributors and exporters across India and internationally.
What This Equipment Does
This is an open-type wind tunnel used to study airflow behaviour around test models and aerofoil sections. Air is drawn through a 300mm x 300mm x 1000mm test section (fitted with two Perspex viewing windows) by a 10-blade nylon blower fan driven by a 5 HP DC shunt motor (1500 rpm), with a 3-phase thyristor speed controller giving smooth control of air velocity across a 1 to 25 m/sec range in the test section. Airflow is measured using a Pitot tube and a 15-tube acrylic manometer with inclination arrangement, and the roughly 7-metre tunnel duct is fabricated from MS sheet.
Included Test Models
The unit is supplied with a symmetrical and an unsymmetrical aerofoil (150mm width, 250mm long, with 15 piezometric tappings and a 0-360 degree protractor for angle-of-attack studies), a 100mm-diameter spherical model, and a 75mm-diameter, 250mm-long cylindrical model with piezometric tapping and a 0-360 degree protractor — letting students study pressure distribution and flow behaviour around several standard model shapes on the same rig.

This wind tunnel is fabricated and assembled at our own India production facility. Manufacturing in-house means our team controls build quality and calibration at every stage, and can configure the test section, model set, or instrumentation for a specific curriculum or export order without waiting on an outside supplier.
