Faraday Ice Pail

Product Code : EL-PLE-10345

Lab Instruments Manufacturers manufactures the Faraday Ice Pail set in-house at our own India facility, supplying it to school and college physics laboratories, and as an OEM/private-label item to distributors and exporters across India and internationally.

What This Set Demonstrates

This set reproduces Michael Faraday's classic ice pail experiment, in which he used a metal pail (originally intended to hold ice) to demonstrate the effect of electrostatic induction on a conducting container. The set comprises four painted tin pails, made to fit inside one another, letting students investigate how a charge on an object lowered into a conducting pail induces a corresponding charge on the outside of the pail.

Typical Use

School and college physics laboratories use the Faraday Ice Pail to demonstrate electrostatic induction on a conducting container, reproducing Faraday's original experiment as a hands-on introduction to electrostatic shielding and induced charge.

Manufactured In-House

This set is manufactured at our own India production facility. Manufacturing in-house means our team controls tin-forming and nested-fit accuracy at every stage, and can produce custom sizes or bulk sets for a specific institutional order or export shipment without waiting on an outside supplier.
