Lab Instruments Manufacturers manufactures the Automated Batch Distillation Pilot Plant in-house at our own India facility, supplying it to engineering colleges and chemical engineering labs, and as an OEM/private-label item to distributors and exporters across India and internationally.
What This Pilot Plant Does
This is a larger, automated version of a batch distillation plant: a 5-litre reboiler with a 2,500W electric heater feeds a 1,100mm distillation column packed with stainless-steel mesh, with reflux controlled through a reflux head fitted with a solenoid valve rather than manual timer-only adjustment. Vapour is condensed through AISI 304 stainless-steel tube-in-tube heat exchangers, with distillate collected across 2 graduated 1-litre tanks.
Automated Instrumentation and Control
Compared to our Manual Batch Distillation Pilot Plant, this unit adds closed-loop process control: an electro-pneumatic converter (4-20mA / 0.2-1 bar) and a pneumatic control valve (DN15, Cv=2.5) actuate the process automatically, driven by an electronic absolute pressure transmitter (0-1000 mbar, 4-20mA) and a differential-pressure indicator. The plant carries 8 thermocouples with stainless-steel-shielded probes and 8 electronic temperature indicators, a variable-area flow meter (0-250 l/h, 4-20mA), a liquid-ring vacuum pump (700W) with air/water separator and check valve, and 2 programmable timers for reflux-ratio control, all managed from an electrical control panel with an emergency stop button.

This plant is fabricated and assembled at our own India production facility using stainless-steel construction throughout. Manufacturing in-house means our team controls build quality and instrumentation calibration at every stage, and can configure the plant for a specific curriculum or export order without waiting on an outside supplier.
