Continuous Distillation Pilot Plant Manufacturer,Supplier and Exporter in India

Continuous Distillation Pilot Plant

Product Code : EL-CELE-11496

Lab Instruments Manufacturers manufactures the Continuous Distillation Pilot Plant in-house at our own India facility, supplying it to engineering colleges and chemical engineering labs, and as an OEM/private-label item to distributors and exporters across India and internationally.

What This Pilot Plant Does

Unlike a batch plant, this unit runs distillation as a continuous process: feed is drawn from a 5-litre feeding tank by a metering pump (0 to 8.5 litres/hour) into a 600mm column fitted with 7 sieve trays, with a 3-litre reboiler (1,600W electric heater) at the base. Distillate is drawn off continuously into a 1-litre collection tank while bottoms product collects in a 5-litre tank, letting students observe steady-state continuous separation rather than a single batch cycle.

Instrumentation and Control

The column is monitored with 6 digital thermometers using Pt100 probes protected by stainless-steel shield sleeves, with vapour condensed through 3 tube-in-tube heat exchangers. Reflux ratio is set using 2 programmable timers, with reboiler heater power managed by a thyristor unit and flow monitored by a variable-area flow meter (20 to 200 litres/hour). Pipework is stainless steel throughout, with the electrical control panel and emergency stop button housed in the main cabinet.

Batch vs. Continuous Operation

Our Manual and Automated Batch Distillation Pilot Plants process one fixed charge at a time; this continuous plant instead feeds material in and draws distillate and bottoms product out continuously via its metering pump and dual product tanks, teaching students the different operating and control principles involved in continuous separation processes.

Manufactured In-House

This plant is fabricated and assembled at our own India production facility using stainless-steel construction throughout. Manufacturing in-house means our team controls build quality and instrumentation calibration at every stage, and can configure the plant for a specific curriculum or export order without waiting on an outside supplier.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does this differ from a batch distillation plant?
Feed is continuously drawn in by a metering pump while distillate and bottoms product are continuously drawn off into separate tanks, rather than processing one fixed charge at a time.

What is the feed rate range?
The metering pump feeds at 0 to 8.5 litres per hour into the 7-sieve-tray column.

Can this be supplied as an OEM/private-label order?
Yes, it can be produced and packed under a buyer's own brand name and item codes for distributors and exporters ordering in bulk.
