What This Apparatus Does
This apparatus determines the heat of combustion, calorific value, and sulphur content of solid and liquid fuels. Its bomb body and lid are machined from corrosion-resisting stainless steel rod, with an approximate 300ml capacity, a high-pressure valve, and electrodes; the calorimeter vessel and stirrer are FHP-motor driven, with a water jacket built to IP specification. It is supplied complete with a firing unit, a digital/glass Beckman thermometer, a pellet press, ignition Nichrome wire, and a pressure gauge with copper pipe fitting.
