What This Apparatus Does
This viscometer measures the viscosity of petroleum products by timing how long a fixed volume of sample takes to flow through a calibrated jet, using the Saybolt method. The unit is built around a stainless-steel water bath housing the oil cup, and is supplied with both Universal and Furol jets to cover a wider viscosity range than a single-jet design, with water-bath heating and cooling used to hold the sample at the required test temperature throughout the run.
