What These Clips Do
Hoffman Clips are screw-down clips, made of nickel-plated steel, that effectively block off air or gas flow through rubber or plastic tubing by pinching the sides of the tube together. A hinged bottom bar lets the clip be fitted onto or removed from tubing directly, without needing access to the ends of the tube, and a projection plate prevents the end of the screw from damaging the tubing.
