Milling Tool Dynamometer

Description:-

This is a simple, easy-to-understand set-up to study the behavior of cutting forces during a milling operation in three directions.

With this unit, students can evaluate cutting depth, speed and feed.

It consists of a mechanical ring sandwiched between two M.S. plates with strain gauges fixed on it.

The unit works on the standard method of an octagonal ring with strain gauges, which transmits the relevant data to the force indicator during the milling operation.
